Maruti Suzuki has launched the facelifted Dzire sub-4m sedan in India at Rs 5.89 lakh (ex-showroom). It features a redesigned front fascia and is offered with a single engine option - the BS6-compliant 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine - all for a modest variant-wise price increase that ranges between Rs 6,000 to Rs 16,000.

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is a sub-4m sedan that costs between Rs 5.89 lakh and Rs 8.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). At one moment, the BS4 Dzire was India’s bestselling car.

Dzire Specifications

Under the Dzire’s bonnet sits Maruti’s 1.2-litre K12C Dualjet petrol engine. It produces 90PS of power and 113Nm of torque and is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. An Auto-Gear Shift (AGS) automated manual transmission is offered on the Vxi, Zxi, and Zxi+ trim levels. The carmaker claims that the petrol-manual Dzire has a fuel economy of 23.26kmpl, while the AGS returns 24.12kmpl. It has 378 litres of boot space and sits 163mm off the ground.

Dzire Varients

The Dzire is available in four variants -- Lxi, Vxi, Zxi, and Zxi+. Except Lxi, all variants are available with an automatic transmission option. The base variant gets most of the safety features on offer. However, some of the 2020 model’s feature additions such as cruise control and the 4.2-inch colour driver’s display are only offered only on the Zxi+ variants. Six colours are on offer -- Premium Silver, Arctic White, Magma Grey, Oxford Blue, Phoenix Red, and Sherwood Brown.

Dzire Features

Outside, the Dzire features a redesigned grille and front bumper. As before, the 2020 Dzire has LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights and LED combination rear taillamps. It is available in two new colours -- Premium Silver and Phoenix Red. Interior highlights include a new 4.2-inch multi-information driver’s display and cruise control. Keyless entry and push-button start are offered, too. The Smartplay Studio infotainment has a 7-inch touchscreen and can be operated by voice and steering-mounted controls. It has built-in navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. On the safety front, the Dzire has standard dual airbags, ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. Top-spec variants get a reversing camera, while automatic variants are equipped with electronic stability control (ESC) and hill-hold function.

The price of Maruti Dzire starts at Rs. 5.89 lakh and goes upto Rs. 8.81 lakh. The price of petrol variant of Dzire ranges between Rs. 5.89 lakh to Rs. 8.81 lakh. Maruti Dzire is available in 7 variants and 6 different colours.
